Matty GZ, 19, real name Matthew Cloth, was a rising star in the music industry.
His song Everbody K was released in November 2020 and has garnered more than 130,000 views on YouTube.
The rapper was also featured on a song called Smoke Em.
Matty often posted his work on social media and quite frequently interacted with his followers and others via Instagram Live.


Has Matty GZ’s cause of death been confirmed?
Klo Vizionz, who worked with Matty on RGK, confirmed his death on November 3, 2022.
In his Instagram story he simply wrote: “RIP Matty GZ.”
Matty became a household name in the rap industry after several people started making reaction videos of his work.
However, he was divided in the music community when it emerged that he had been arrested for robbery at gunpoint in August 2022.
According to court records, Matty and an accomplice allegedly robbed a dirt bike while threatening the victim with a gun.
The victim, who owned a car and a dirt bike, had approached the car to retrieve a backpack of cash when Matthew’s accomplice allegedly took out his gun, pointed it at the victim, before fleeing on the dirt bike.
The couple later received a $2,000 cash payment for the cycle, the document adds.
Matty was charged with robbery, petty theft, threats and molestation before being later released on $25,001 bail.
The rapper is also said to have marked a police station while in prison.


At the time of writing, Matty’s cause of death has not been announced.
However, his death was met with condolences on social media, with many posting “RIP” on platforms like Twitter and Instagram.
