What happened to Lynda Spence?
Her body was never found despite extensive searches by police.
She was kidnapped in 2011 by Colin Coats and Philip Wade, who tortured her in an Ayrshire attic for 13 days.
It is believed Coats thought Spence had ripped him off in an £85,000 land deal and wanted to know what she had done with his money.
Coats and Wade were found guilty of kidnapping, torture and murder in 2013 after an 11-week trial.
Two other men, David Parker and Paul Smith, were each sentenced to 11 years in prison for assaulting and holding Lynda captive.
What happened to her killer Colin Coats?
Colin Coats and his accomplice Philip Wade were jailed at a trial in 2013 for the kidnapping, torturing and murder of Spence.
Both men maintained their innocence throughout the trial.
Coats was sentenced to 33 years in prison for the crime, while Wade received a 30-year sentence.
The couple worked with police in 2022 when they searched for Lynda’s body.
Coats and Wade suggested that her body was buried in a field in Argyll and both were taken from prison on separate occasions to show the site.
Police even told her parents there was a 98 percent chance they would find her body after the lead, but they couldn’t find anything after a three-month search.
