A POPULAR TikTok influencer shared a haunting post about dying at a young age just hours before he was found dead.
Known for his viral clips on social media, Cooper Noriega rose to fame on TikTok before being found dead in a mall parking lot.
Who was Cooper Noriega?
Born on June 28, 2002, Cooper Noriega was a popular TikToker with over 1.7 million followers.
On Instagram, he amassed a following of over 428,000 users.
Before his death, Cooper drafted a number of mental health related posts.
On June 6, 2022, he posted a photo of himself to Instagram and captioned the shot: “Hey guys I just created a mental health discord.”
“If you want to get involved, you can; just click the link in my bio.”
On various occasions, the late social media star referenced his battle with mental health to his followers.
Just five days before his death, Cooper told his followers on Sunday, June 5, “I’ve struggled with addiction since I was 9 years old.”
“You might think this is crazy, but this is the life I got.”
The online personality also wrote, “I want to use the influence I’ve received to create a space built around spreading awareness and normalizing the speaking out about mental illness.”
“One of the many things I learned while struggling with addiction was that surrounding yourself with negative people only gets you down.”
He added, “For this reason, Discord is meant to bring us all together and create a safe space for people to vent and help others through their trying times.”
What was Cooper’s cause of death?
Just weeks before his 20th birthday, Cooper’s body was found in a parking lot in Los Angeles, California.
According to authorities, a passerby called 911 on Thursday, June 9, 2022 after finding Cooper’s body unconscious in a mall parking lot.
After paramedics arrived at the scene, they were reportedly unable to revive the 19-year-old.
The young star was not in a vehicle when authorities found him and there were no signs of trauma to his body.
An insider told TMZ that an autopsy will be performed and that there is no suspicion of third-party negligence.
Following the TikTok personality’s death, some of his fans took to the internet to offer their condolences.
Co-influencer Taylor Caniff commented on Cooper’s latest Instagram post: “Rest in peace man I still got a hold of you on my couch. I’m building this rehab in your honor.”
