What happened to Adina?
On June 4, 2023, a private jet carrying Adina from Tennessee to New York crashed in the Shenandoah Valley.
After the tragedy, it emerged that Adina, her two-year-old daughter and the family’s nanny were among the passengers who died in the disaster.
At this point, the three were heading home after a four-day visit to John and Barbara Rumpel’s North Carolina home.
“It was sinking at a speed of 20,000 feet per minute and no one could survive a fall at that speed,” the grieving father said The New York Times.
Although the exact details are not yet known, John assumes that “they would all have just fallen asleep and never woken up” if the plane had lost pressure.
Adina died her sister Victoria; She died in a diving accident in 1994.
