Welsh duo Charlie Morgan and Jackson Quinn are the proud owners of AU Vodka.

British DJ, producer and TV presenter Charlie Sloth is also a co-owner of the company.

According to their website, AU Vodka is: “Inspired by gold, Au Vodka contains the periodic table, where gold is a chemical element with the symbol Au and atomic number 79.”

AU Vodka is enjoying international expansion and is available in a number of high-end stores around the world including Selfridges and Harvey Nichols in the UK.

The luxury brand now has an expanded range of seven flavors including Au Original, Black Grape, Fruit Punch, Blue Raspberry, Green Watermelon, Red Cherry and Pineapple Crush, Bubblegum and Double Espresso Coffee Liqueur.

When was AU Vodka founded?

AU Vodka was founded in 2015.

According to reports, friends Charlie, then 19, and Jackson, then 21, decided to see if they could make their own vodka, so they made one and called it Au Vodka.

They initially produced 2,000 bottles and launched the newly formed drink locally in a few bars in their hometown of Swansea.

Word of mouth around the city gave it a solid reputation and garnered a lot of attention thanks to its distinctive, eye-catching golden bottle.

After Charlie Sloth’s involvement in the brand, AU Vodka caught celebrity attention and the brand took off – today millions of bottles are sold every year.

Where is AU Vodka made?

According to AU Vodka’s official website, “Each batch of Au Vodka’s premium vodka starts with the finest grain, grown in the heart of the English countryside, which is then blended with pristine spring water before being filtered.”

However, the bottle is made in Italy.

The website explains: “The bottling process, metallized by hand in Italy, has taken four years of craftsmanship to perfection.

“Each bottle of Au Vodka features a unique metallization and uses the finest pewter labels, sourced deep in the European hills.

“This process means that each bottle has subtle differences, making each bottle of Au Vodka unique.”
