The 29-year-old plays in midfield for the Chicago Red Stars. She was nominated for an ESPY Award for Best Female Athlete in 2018, but lost to snowboarder Chloe Kim.

She played for the US women’s national team, including the 2014 CONCACAF women’s championship, which put her on the road to her first world championship.
