Journey into Imagination’s first attraction opened at FutureWorld in Epcot on March 5, 1983, introducing tourists to Dreamfinder and Figment.
Since then, Dreamfinder has led Figment to guide tourists through Dreamport, a venue where the two experiment with new ideas in art, literature, technology, and other fields.

Who is the dragon Figment?
Figment is known as the mascot of Imagination! Booth at Walt Disney World The resort’s Epcot theme park.
He is a small purple dragon that is occasionally spotted wearing a yellow sweater and appearing on some Epcot merchandise.
Figment has appeared in a series of Epcot Educational Media’s short videos for schools, as well as two Marvel Comics‘Disney Kingdoms brand comic series.
Dreamfinder’s dragon companion Figment was created from the concepts and flames of his imagination gathered during his adventures around the Realm of Imagination.
As soon as Figment boarded the Dreamfinder’s airship, he began listing all the things to get and building new things from there, quickly filling up the ship’s bag of ideas and embarking on a journey to Dreamport. .
Then Figment and Dreamfinder put their theory to work in the fields of art, literature, theater, science, and movie.
What is Epcot?
Epcot is an amusement park located in Bay Lake, Florida, inside the Walt Disney World Resort.
