Born on June 22, 1984, Sarah Stogner is a Republican Party candidate for the role of Texas Commissioner of Railways.

In 2002, Stogner graduated from Huntsville High School in Alabama.

She went on to earn a Bachelor’s degree in International Trade and Finance from Louisiana State University, followed by a Doctor of Laws from the Paul M. Hebert Law Center.

On Sunday, February 13, 2022, Sarah Stogner shared a video on her social media platforms considered scandalous by many – the lawyer appeared half-naked on TikTok which she posted.

In the video – used for advocacy purposes – Stogner can be seen posing on a pump, wearing nothing but underwear and undergarments.

She captioned the post: “They say I need money. I have other assets.”

After the clip started going viral on the internet, San Antonio The Express-News editorial board announced that they would be relinquishing their endorsement of Stogner.

They wrote in a statement: “We are deeply saddened to see an embarrassing TikTok video posted Sunday from Sarah Stogner, whom we recently nominated in the Republican primary for the seat. railway commissioner,” they wrote in a statement.

“We rescind our proposal.”

Sarah Stogner replied via Facebook: “Wow ok. I wish you would wait and hear what I have to say before making that decision.

She continued: “We have radiation in our water. But I’m less covered where the line is drawn.”

“It feels a lot like sl*t-sharing,” says Stogner, via Chron.

“We were just doing stupid things. We had footage from last year and I said, ‘I’ll do it myself. Super Bowl morning medicine.'”

She continued: “If I had fired machine guns and shouted about the border, they wouldn’t have had a problem with it.”

“[San Antonio Express] say they did my homework for me,” Stogner added.

“Ask them if they’ve seen a picture of me from last summer. It’s on Instagram. I’m naked, topless on the sand dunes, raise awareness. It’s not sex. But what if the photo? Women’s nudity is not for sexual use, I guess that’s a no go.”
