Who is Senator Ron Johnson?
Ron Johnson was born on April 8, 1955 and is known as an American accountant, businessman and politician.
He was first elected to the US Senate in 2010 after defeating Russ Feingold and was re-elected in 2016.
Before his political career, he earned a BSB degree in accounting from the University of Minnesota and worked as an accountant at Jostens.


Then, in 1979, Johnson founded PACUR, a plastics manufacturing company in Oshkosh, Wisconsin.
In addition to serving as a Senator, Johnson also serves on the Budget, External Relations and Trade, Science and Transportation committees.
In January 2022, Johnson made headlines after making a statement that taking care of other people’s children is not society’s responsibility.
He later defended his comments to FOX6 News, saying: “Obviously I think society should help people who can’t help themselves.
“…I don’t think there’s any controversy if I believe that parents should be primarily responsible for the upbringing of their children. I don’t think it should be controversial when we’re $29 trillion in debt that I’m concerned about another federal government program that further mortgages our children’s futures when we’re looking at 7% inflation.”
His comments referenced Joe Biden’s Build Back Better plan, which would reportedly save families thousands of dollars in childcare and preschool costs.

Johnson will face Democratic nominee Mandela Barnes in the November 8 general election.
Democrats have criticized Johnson for projecting conspiracy theories about Covid-19 and questioning the integrity of the 2020 election.
Johnson is the Senate’s leading conspiracy theorist, who has made a number of allegations, including his claim that House Speaker Nancy Pelosi voted to impeach former President Donald Trump for his role in the Jan. 6 riots, and said Pelosi covered up her guilt. There is no evidence for his claim.

Johnson accused Barnes of “having a record of wanting to defund the police” during their first debate, but Barnes challenged his opponent, telling MSNBC, “I will not be lectured on crime by anyone who supports a violent riot.” that left 140 officers injured.”
Ahead of his second debate against Johnson, Barnes said in a press conference, “We should all be reminded that Ron Johnson is willing to sacrifice our entire democracy for his own gain.”

Johnson has been married to Jane Johnson since 1977.
