She is a household name and a live on-the-ground reporter for the BBC about the Russo-Ukrainian war.
Who is Reeta Chakrabarti?
Reeta Chakrabarti57 years old, is a British journalist, reporter and correspondent for BBC News.
Born in Ealing on 12 December 1964, into an Indo-Bengali family.
They have moved to Birmingham where Reeta grew up.
In 1994, Chakrabarti became a reporter for the newly launched BBC Radio 5 Live Breakfast Program.
She later became a general news reporter working on television as well as radio.
In 1997, she became a BBC Community Affairs correspondent, before securing a role as a political correspondent for the BBC in 1999.
In May 2014, she was appointed news presenter on BBC One and BBC News Channel.
She is also the Premier of York St John University and a judge for the Costa Book of the Year award in 2021.

Reeta is married to Paul Hamilton, the two live together in North London.
Paul is Professor of English at Queen Mary University.
He studied mainly Enlightenment and Romantic texts but also wrote on critical theory and modernism.
During her time at OxfordReeta studied English and is known to be in love with the romantic poet John Keats.

Together, Reeta and Paul have three children – a daughter and two sons.
