Who is Phillip Schofield’s brother Timothy?

Tim was a plainclothes police officer and the brother of This Morning star Phillip Schofield.

He’s 54 – seven years younger than Phillip – but the court heard the couple “didn’t grow particularly close”.

Tim has appeared on This Morning and previously had behind-the-scenes access to Dancing On Ice, both presented by his brother.

What was Timothy Schofield found guilty of?

Timothy Schofield was found guilty of “emotionally blackmailing” a teenager into sexual acts and forcing him to watch porn at Exeter Crown Court on April 3, 2023.

Schofield was convicted on three counts of causing a child to observe sexual activity and three counts of engaging in sexual activity in the presence of a child.

He was also found guilty of three counts of inducing a child to engage in sexual activity and two counts of engaging in sexual activity with a child.

He is believed to have carried out the attacks between October 2016 and October 2019 while working for Avon and Somerset Police.

What did Phillip Schofield say?

Phillip Schofield released a statement after his brother was found guilty of sexually abusing a teenager.

He said: “My overwhelming concern is and always has been for the well-being of the victim and his family. I hope their privacy is now respected.

“If my brother had ever confessed to a crime I would have acted immediately to protect the victim and his family.

“These are heinous crimes and I applaud the guilty verdicts. As far as I’m concerned, I don’t have a brother anymore.”

A court heard how “shocked” Phillip Schofield replied: “What did you just say?” after his brother confessed to performing a sex act with a teenager.

Timothy went to Phil’s home on September 12, 2021 and admitted he had “time” with the teen where they watched porn and had sex together.

Phillip replied, “What the hell is time? That must never happen again.”
