Who is Nadiya Hussein and how old is she?

Nadiya Jamir Hussain is a Bangladeshi-British chef, author and TV presenter.

She was born on December 25, 1984 in LutonBedfordshire, in a family of five other children, with three sisters and two brothers.

Her father is a chef who owns an Indian restaurant.

However, her mother is not interested in food and uses the family oven for storage.

Nadiya however developed a love of cooking during her school years.

She then taught herself how to cook by reading dozens of recipe books and watching YouTube video tutorials.

She has an obsession with fish fingers, claiming to have eaten 18 dishes in a row and this led to one of her most creative dishes – fish finger lasagne.

The baking star then got married and moved in Leedswhere she began her studies for an Open University degree.

But it was her presence in the Great British Bake Off that put Nadiya on the map and made her known and loved by the British public.

She has been appointed a Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) in the 2020 New Year Honors for culinary arts and broadcasting services.

What TV shows has Nadiya participated in?

In 2015, Nadiya was crowned the champion of The Great British Bake Off.

She is the sixth champion to win the hit show.

In the final, she baked 16 cream cakes, a raspberry-flavored mille-feuille and a layered cake called “My Big Fat British Wedding Cake”.

In her acceptance speech, she said, “I will never set boundaries for myself again. I will never say I can’t do it.

“I would never say ‘can’.’ I would never say, ‘I don’t think I can.’ “I can and I will.”

Nadiya regularly appears on The One Show on BBC One as well as Loose Women.

She had her own cooking show, The Chronicles of Nadiya in 2016.

She then went on to launch another series in 2017 called Nadiya’s British Food Adventure, featuring her new book of the same name.

The show followed her on a trip around England to explore more traditional and quirky British dishes before recreating them in her kitchen.

The baker hosted the BBC Big Family Cooking Competition with Zoe Ball in 2017.

Since July 2018 she has hosted Nadiya’s Family Favorites on BBC Two – a show with recipes for family and friends.

In 2019, she appeared in a six-part series on BBC2 called Time To Eat, which explores fast and cost-effective delicious food.

Nadiya also appeared in Big Family Cooking Showdown.

She tackles her own mental health struggles in Nadiya: Anxiety and Me, where she tries to find the source of her anxiety and treat it.

In 2020, Nadiya launches her own show Nadiya Bakes, in which she shows viewers how to create classic cakes with modern touches, while also hosting Nadiya’s American Adventures.

In 2021, Nadiya starts organizing Nadiya’s Fast Flavors which considers simple and quick recipes for everyday people.

In February 2022, Nadiya sat down for an hour-long conversation with Kate Garraway on Life Story, which gives an in-depth look at her life, career, and struggles with bullying and mental health.

In addition to being a TV star, Nadiya is also an author.

She is the author of a children’s storybook and recipe book, Bake Me A Story, as well as novels including The Secret Life of the Amir Sisters.

She is also a Contributing Editor for BBC Delicious Food, as well as writing a monthly column for Time Magazine.

Is Nadiya married and does she have children?

Nadiya’s husband is Abdal Hussainan engineering director at Leeds-based Computer Science.

They married in 2004 when she was 19 years old in a traditional ceremony in Bangladesh.

The couple had an arranged marriage – seeing each other only once before the big day.

Referring to the arrangement, Nadiya said “It’s tough – you’re marrying a complete stranger… we’ve had to live through the good and the bad, and have come out the other side. “

In December 2018, the couple decided to get married again.

Abdal has always been a great support for his wife and fans who fancied him during the competition, which he was considered a “bastard” by “Bake-Off” viewers at the time.

The couple has three children – two sons and a daughter.

They are Musa 14 years old, Dawyd 13 years old and Maryam 10 years old.
