Joey Chestnut is an exercise eater who was born on November 25, 1983 in Fulton County, Kentucky.
In 2005, Chestnut made his debut when he defeated Rich LeFevre in an asparagus-eating championship.
That same year, the Kentucky native entered Nathan’s Hot Dog Eating Contest for the first time, where he placed third.
Two years later, Chestnut emerged as the winner of the hot dog contest, beating Takeru Kobayashi, who had a six-year winning streak.
For years, starting in 2007, Chestnut was the victor until he was defeated by Matt Stonie in 2015.
The following year, Chestnut redeemed himself at the 2016 Hot Dog Eating Contest.
He has retained that title to this day and has won 15 titles.
