Joe Davis is MLB’s new voice for Fox Sports

Who is Joe Davis?

Joe Davis is a graduate of Beloit College where he played football.

According to his Fox Sports biography, “Perhaps the most important training he received in college came during the offseason, when he took on playing duties for the school’s athletic department and announced baseball and men’s and women’s basketball games on local radio and television.”

“Davis was the voice of Buccaneer Spring Sports for his last three years on campus before graduating in 2010.”

After college, Davis got a job as the play-by-play voice artist for the Montgomery Biscuits, the Tampa Bay Rays’ Double-A affiliate.

In July 2012, he joined ESPN as a sports announcer.

At ESPN, Davis named games that ranged wildly from college baseball, basketball, soccer, hockey and softball.

Davis was hired by the Los Angeles Dodgers to officiate street games in November 2015, eventually taking on the role full-time in 2017 replacing legendary Hall of Famer Vin Scully.

Davis will continue his job with the LA Dodgers in addition to his new job calling premier events for the MLB on Fox.

Is Joe Davis Married?

Joe Davis is married to his wife Libby, with whom he lives in South Pasadena, California.

The couple have three children, Charlotte, Blake and Theodore.

“It’s been amazing to see how Joe has evolved over the years into one of the elite broadcasters in all sports,” said Brad Zager, Fox Sports’ President of Production and Operations and Executive Producer.

“As an integral part of our reporting over the past few years, his move to baseball’s biggest stage is a natural fit and we couldn’t be more excited to have him as the new voice from MLB on FOX.”

What is Joe Davis Net Worth?

Joe Davis doesn’t currently have an official net worth, but he will fill in the shoes of Joe Buck, who is leaving Fox Sports to join ESPN.

Joe Buck’s annual salary is listed by Celebrity Net Worth as around $12.5 million, meaning Davis likely has a similar deal on the horizon.

Davis’ first appearance in the dressing room is scheduled for Saturday, May 28 on Fox.
