Who is in the Netflix comedy?

A new comedy film entitled Honeymoon with my mother will be released on Netflix on April 29th, and we want to make sure you know everything there is to know about the film before you hit play.

Honeymoon with my mother is a Spanish Netflix Original Movie directed by Paco Caballero. Cristóbal Garrido and Adolfo Valor have teamed up again to write the screenplay. You may know Garrido and Valor as the creators of the TV series Reyes de la Noche.

The story follows a young man named José who stands at the altar after his fiancé left him for another man. But the situation worsens when he remembers that he paid for the expensive honeymoon in advance. This gives his feisty mother a crazy idea. She suggests that she go on the trip with him so it doesn’t look like a waste of money. On the trip, the mother is having the time of her life while José is unhappy and ready to go home.

Quim Gutiérrez leads the cast as the protagonist, José Luis. Gutiérrez is best known for his roles in Dark blue almost black, The last days and jungle cruise. Carmen Machi plays Mari Carmen, José’s stubborn mother. You may know Carmen from her roles in Aida, 7 videos and broken hugs.
