Sex Education Season 4 Returnees

For the most part, we can say with relative certainty that Asa Butterfield will return to play Otis Milburn next season. Finally, the show focuses heavily on his character, and season three didn’t end with his story being over.

Also, we expect The crown‘s Gillian Anderson, the Dr. Jean Milburn plays, in a way, come back. Anderson is pretty busy outside sex education with other roles, including White Bird: A Miracle Story and The light blue eyeso it would be safe to wait until her character is in every episode of season four for now.

Also booked and busy is Ncuti Gatwa as this amazing actor is starring in countless exciting titles such as: Doctor Who as The Doctor and the highly anticipated Greta Gerwig film, Barbie. If Gatwa doesn’t return as Otis Millburn’s best friend Eric Effiong due to scheduling conflicts, we’ll understand, but boy will we be disappointed.

  • Connor Swindells as Adam Groff
  • Aimee Lou Wood as Aimee Gibbs
  • Kedar Williams Stirling as Jackson Marchetti
  • Chinenye Ezeudu as Viv
  • Mimi Keene as Ruby

Sex Education season 4 cast members are leaving the cast

All good things come to an end, and for three talents sex education OGs, this saying is true.

Earlier this year, Simone Ashley confirmed she would not be reprising her role as Olivia Hanan next season following her breakthrough role as Lady Kate Sharma in Bridgeton.

“I think my time is up [the show] is over,” Ashley told Glamour. “It’s very sad because I love them all so much.”

leave that too sex education Group is Tanya Reynolds, who plays Lily Iglehart, and Iglehart’s screen partner Ola Nyman, played by Patricia Allison. In an interview with Capital Xtra, Allison gave us the grim news.

“I absolutely loved being there sex education so, so much,” Allison said. “But unfortunately I won’t be joining the team in Season 4. I am so sorry to have to tell you this. But some other opportunities have arisen. I’ve been doing this for three years and I really love it so much.”

Is Emma Mackey leaving sex education too?

With the seemingly permanent departure of Maeve Wiley at the end of season four, fans were curious if English actress Emma Mackey would return to play Wiley one more time. While we’re not entirely sure what the answer to that is yet, we’re predicting that Mackey could be another of the many cast members not reprising her role in the upcoming episode as she’s also very busy with other projects. However, we’ll have to wait a little longer to know for sure.

The confirmed departures of Ashley, Reynolds and Allison could mark the beginning of a new era sex education, but like the fans, we hope we don’t have to say goodbye to any more characters. At least not until their respective stories are completed.

As sex education Season 4 is coming, we’re sure we’ll get more cast updates. Until then, be sure to stream all three seasons of the show on Netflix, and show your outgoing cast some love too by checking out all of their upcoming projects!
