Arbery is a 25-year-old black man who shoot and kill while running near Brunswick, Georgia, by a group of white men: McMichaels and Bryan.
Arbery was running in the area when McMichaels and Bryan pursued him, sandwiching him between two pickup trucks before shooting him dead with a shotgun.
According to the police interview transcript, Gregory began the chase after seeing Arbery racing at his home, alleging that he suspected Arbery of burglary or burglary at the Satilla Shore; however, no evidence of this has emerged.
In a pickup truck, Gregory and Travis chase Arbery. Bryan told police he watched the chase and took part in it himself, but he’s not sure if Arbery did anything illegal, according to police evidence.
