Who is former prisoner Jay Bell?

A prison nurse working in one of England’s maximum security prisons is being investigated over allegations she had an “affair” with an inmate.
Alexandra Powell, 31, is accused of starting a relationship with then-prisoner Jay Bell – but who is he and what is said to have happened between them? Here you will find everything you need to know.
Who is Jay Bell?
Jay Bell is a former prisoner who previously served a sentence behind bars after being sentenced to ten months in prison for a road traffic offence.
Bell is said to have had a long-term partner and is also the father of two children.
The former prisoner has been in and out of prison and was most recently jailed in December 2022 following a violent road rage incident involving two motorcyclists in London.
Two years ago, Bell was one of three prisoners who had sexual communication with a prison officer at Mount Jail in Hemel Hempstead.
In 2021, Sarah Milburn was put behind bars for 16 months after pleading guilty to three counts of misconduct in public office.
Prosecutor James Keeley said Milburn served as a temporary prison officer from July 23, 2017.
Bell was released from Category C prison, HMP Aylesbury, in September – and it was there that he met prison nurse Alexandra Powell.
What happened between Jay Bell and Alexandra Power?
Prison nurse Alexandra Power is accused of starting a relationship with Bell at the maximum security prison.
Bell is said to have secured a job while behind bars in a prison reception area – which was reportedly close to where Power was working as a temporary nurse at the time.
Power, who was already in a relationship and is a mother of two, described the affair as a “false accusation” when approached at her home.
She declined to comment further on the claims.
Before working in prison, Power is believed to have trained as a beauty technician and run her own cosmetics business.
Following the allegations made, the Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust has now launched an internal investigation.
A statement from a trust spokesman said: “We have been made aware of an allegation relating to a temporary worker which we are investigating.”
“While this investigation is ongoing, the employee has been asked not to attend the service location where he or she normally works.”
“We should emphasize that this is a neutral measure to allow for a full investigation.” “We are unable to comment further on such matters while they are taking place.”
As confirmed in the statement above, Power has since been stood down from his job at HMP Aylesbury in Buckinghamshire while the internal investigation continues.
After Bell’s release, the two reportedly live together in Milton Keynes, MailOnline Reports.
