Who is Fiona Phillips?
Fiona Phillips was born on January 1, 1961 in Canterbury, Kent.
After leaving school she worked for a short time at Mr Kipling’s Bakery in Eastleigh, Hampshire.
She began her broadcasting career on local radio stations before becoming a presenter for CNN.
Fiona has appeared as a panelist on Loose Women, was a reporter on Watchdog, and directed Lorraine.
What is Fiona Phillips known for?
Fiona is best known for being the main presenter alongside Eamonn Holmes on GMTV in the ’90s and early ’00s.
She joined the show in 1993 as an entertainment correspondent but her big break came when she was promoted to lead presenter on the ITV breakfast show.
But in August 2008, Fiona announced that she was leaving GMTV for “family reasons.”
In a statement released at the time, she said it was “the hardest decision I’ve ever made.”
She said: “I love the job but I have other responsibilities – the kids, life at home and an elderly father who needs me – and I’ve realized I can’t have it all.”
She presented her last show on December 18, 2008.
In January 2022, she revealed that she was too scared to return to television due to an ongoing battle with menopause “brain fog.”

she said the mirror: “This disease has afflicted my family and now it has attacked me too. And across the country there are people of all ages whose lives are being impacted — it’s heartbreaking. I just hope I can help find a cure that might help make things better for others in the future.
She continued, “That’s something I thought I’d achieve by the time I was 80.” “But I was still only 61 years old.
“I was more angry than anything because this illness has already impacted my life in so many ways. My poor mother was crippled by it, then my father, my grandparents, my uncle. For us it always comes back.”
