Who is Eric Asiedu?
Affectionately called ‘Boss’ by Chelsea staff and players, Eric Asiedu was a kitman and caring mentor.
The Ghanaian is known for being a positive influence on the ground and on the sidelines for the blues youngsters.
He joined West London in April 2013 where his humble and warm personality has enabled him to build strong relationships with the under 18s.

Asiedu was part of the core of much of Chelsea’s youthful success and a confidante in the dressing room of players taking their first steps into full-time football.
Who paid tribute?
Ex-captain and blues legend John Terry immediately took to social media to express his feelings at the sad news.
Terry wrote on Twitter: “RIP ERIC Heartbreaking news today. BOSS you are deeply missed.”
Reece James and Callum Hudson-Odoi also revealed their feelings on Twitter.
Reece James wrote:
“You were more than a Kit-Man. You had a really clean heart, a fun personality and always wanted the best for all academy boys. Miss the days of digging for fresh Nike socks.
“Until we meet again, fly up and rest. Will miss you.”
