Who is Debbie Collier’s daughter Amanda Bearden?

AMANDA Bearden was one of the last people to hear from her mother, Debbie Collier, before she disappeared in Georgia on September 10, police believe.
The devastated daughter told detectives her mother sent her over $2,300 via Venmo, with a note implying she may have been held against her will in the run-up to her death.

Police have not yet identified any suspects in Debbie Collier’s murder but are continuing to investigate what happened.
According to Fox News, among those who have been investigating her in connection with her death is her 36-year-old daughter, who also has an extensive criminal record dating back more than a decade.
Over the years, she has been involved in numerous domestic violence incidents with several ex-boyfriends.
Her most recent indictment dates back to 2021, when she was accused of falsely reporting a crime after an altercation with current boyfriend Andrew Giegerich.

However, Fox News notes that prosecutors dropped the case against her.
Giegerich, whose mother is currently jailed, also has a criminal record dating back to 2020 when he pleaded guilty to three counts of domestic battery and disorderly conduct.
He was given a suspended sentence at the time, but the following year he was jailed for 10 days on new domestic charges related to Bearden.
In January, he also pleaded guilty to reckless driving following an arrest for drunk driving.
A few days after Collier’s body was found, police searched Bearden’s home, but it’s unclear if she’s a person of interest as officers declined to release copies of the warrants due to the ongoing investigation, Fox 5 Atlanta reported.
Little information is available about Bearden’s personal life other than her mother’s murder and her extensive criminal record.
What happened to Debbie Collier?
Collier was last seen shopping at a local Family Dollar store around 3 p.m. local time on September 10.
Surveillance footage later showed she was in and out within 15 minutes, according to the Atlanta Journal Constitution.
“On video, the victim appears calm and not afraid of anything,” the sheriff’s office said at the time.
But just hours after she was reported missing, her naked and partially burned body was discovered in a ravine 21 kilometers from the store.
“The female was lying on the ground, her feet pointing downhill, her head was up. She was shirtless, her skin appeared black and in places bright red as if burned,” the AJC incident report said.
“A few feet up the hill was a hole under a root of a fallen tree where it appeared a fire had recently burned at the site.”
At this point, it’s still unclear how Collier died, but during the investigation, police discovered that she had sent her daughter an alarming message shortly after her disappearance.
It read: “You won’t let me go, I love you, there’s a key to the house in the blue flowerpot by the door.”
The Venmo payment that accompanied the startling news was sent at 3:17 p.m., an hour after Collier’s Chrysler Pacifica was spotted by traffic cameras near Tallulah Falls.
The Habersham County Sheriff’s Office later confirmed that they believed Collier’s death was deliberate and not the work of a serial killer.
Officers said they discovered Collier’s purse and cell phone at the scene, along with the items she had bought – a tarp, poncho, lighter, tote bag and paper towels.
The time window of her death was narrowed between September 10 at 3:09 p.m. and September 11 at 12:44 p.m.

Her death was ruled a homicide, but investigators have ruled out that she was kidnapped or took her own life.
