Who is Columbus Short?

Born on September 19, 1982, in Kansas City, MissouriShort, 39 years old, is known as an American actor and choreographer.

He is best known for his roles in Stomp the Yard, Cadillac Records, Armored and The Losers.

In addition to acting, Short is also responsible for choreography Britney Spears’ Visiting Onyx Hotel.

Short is slated to star in the upcoming 2022 film Scott Free as well as portray the role of Martin Luther King Jr. in Remember Me: The Mahalia Jackson Story.

Why was Columbus Short arrested?

On February 6, 2022, it was revealed that Short had been re-arrested for domestic violence.

Police is said to have been called San Fernando Valley got home around 10:30 p.m. a few days ago, according to TMZ.

Short and his wife entangled in a verbal argument that supposedly became physical.

He then spent 12 hours in jail before posting a $50,000 fine.

At this point, no charges have been made according to the media, but this is not the first time he has found himself in trouble with the law.

In 2018, Short was also arrested for domestic violence and was unopposed, resulting in 34 days behind bars.

Before that, Short was arrested in 2014 after punching a man during a bar brawl.

“I’ll be frank. I’ve struggled with drugs,” Short said Visit Hollywood in 2014. “I had a lot of stuff on my plate, and you know, I used unhealthy ways to self-medicate and deal with a lot of the heavy lifting in my life. I took cocaine. and drinking a lot, and trying to balance the 16-hour work schedule, and my family, and I lost myself at that point.”

Who is the wife of Columbus Short?

Since December 2016, Short has been married to Aida Abramyan.

She is believed to have graduated from UCLA and is currently working as an Entertainment Publisher, according to what appears to be her LinkedIn profile.

Abramyan is often seen posting on social media about her husband and children but tends to stay out of the limelight as much as possible.

Her last post since writing this was on September 19, 2021, when she wished her husband a happy birthday.

“Happy birthday my love! You are an extraordinary human being…simple and plain…a carefree yet minded spirit, sublime yet humble, torn by obstacles of life but still hopeful, exhausted but still fighting well,” she writes at that time.

“… Wishing you all the best in the world, my love because you are more than worth it. Congratulations, my king! Let’s go now! !”

Prior to his relationship with Abramyan, Short was married twice more.

He was first married to Brandi Short, who is also the mother of his first son, from 2001 to 2003.

Short then remarried to Tanee McCall in 2005 and welcomed their first daughter Ayala in 2012, however, the couple split shortly after in 2014.

During their marriage to Abramyan, the couple welcomed two sons together.
