The former prop master boldly revealed he is gay in an interview with Hilary Barry, making him the first openly gay All Black.

Who is Campbell Johnstone?
Campbell Johnstone, born 7 January 1980, is a retired rugby professional who played for the New Zealand national team.
Johnstone, 43, played in the top 14 as a mainstay for Biarritz Olympique before joining Wales regional side Ospreys until the end of the 2012/13 season.


And the former New Zealand international’s performances were so good that he was included straight into the 38-man Heineken Cup squad.
Furthermore, Johnstone made his debut for Osprey the same week he signed against Toulouse.

When did he play for All Blacks?
Johnstone represented the legendary 2005 All Blacks team that won the Tri Nations Series and retained the Bledisloe Cup.
He made three Tests for New Zealand, making his debut against Fiji and his most recent appearance against the British and Irish Lions.
