Who is Marquise Jackson’s mother?

Marquise is the child of 50 Cent and Shaniqua Tompkins, an actress who rose to public attention through her relationship with the rapper.

Tompkins sued her former partner in 2009, claiming he promised to take care of her for life.

However, the judge dismissed their $50 million claim, instead ordering the hip-hop sensation until Marquise was 18.

This had increased to $6,700 per month at that point.

The judge called the feud “an unfortunate story of a loving relationship that has gone sour.”

Aside from court cases, the two have exchanged insults on social media many times over the years.

What did 50 Cent say about Marquise Jackson?

The rap icon has had a fractured relationship with his son over the years and has publicly shot him on several occasions.

In a 2020 interview with Van Lathan, he said, “I didn’t think success would cost me my firstborn, but it is the situation it is.

“My grandfather used to say, ‘If it rattles like a snake and slides like a snake, is it a snake or do you need to be bitten?’

“What he always says is, every time you see the boy, he shows up with someone you have a problem with. What does that tell you?

He also said in 2020 that he “used to” love his son.

However, 50 has credited Marquise with changing his outlook on life, saying, “When my son came into my life, my priorities changed because I wanted to have the relationship with him that I didn’t have with my father.”

What did Marquise Jackson say about 50 Cent?

Marquise has been equally scathing towards his father on social media and in public.

Earlier this month, he shot to 50 on Instagram after he was criticized for complaining that the $6,700 a month paid to his mother in child support was not enough.

The young man had said the amount was too small compared to the music stars’ earnings and the cost of living in New York.

In response to the backlash, he posted a photo of himself with the word “eligible” written in paper money, a parody of a photo of his father with the word “broke” written in $100 bills.

In the caption, he called his dad and said: “Since y’all think $6,700 is so much money someone tell my pops I’ll pay him $6,700 for just 24 hours of his time so we can do whatever what I ever wanted to do with him kid.”
