BAJA Blast is part of a new range of alcoholic beverages from Mountain Dew.
it is one of four flavors including original Mountain Dew, black cherry and watermelon.
Who Invented Baja Blast?
The drink comes from Mountain Dew, which launched its new range in February 2022.
The original Mountain Dew was launched in the 1940s and the soda featured lemon and lime flavors.
The Original Baja Blast is a soda and contains no alcohol.
It was launched in 2004 and is sold exclusively in Taco Bell locations.
Hard mountain dew is available in both 24-ounce single-serving cans and a 12-pack of 12-ounce cans, and is caffeine-free and has no added sugars.
The drinks are 5 percent alcohol by volume.
In 1940, Tennessee-based bottlers Barney and Ally Hartman created the original formula of Mountain Dew Soda.
After some changes to the formula by various people, Mountain Dew was released in 1961.
Three years later, the trademark and production rights were bought by the PepsiCo company.
The caffeinated citrus-flavored soda will be available in a range of flavors from 2022: Voltage (blue raspberry); Live Wire (Orange); Code Red (Cherry); Large melon (watermelon); Spark (raspberry lemonade); and the Tacobell-exclusive, Baja Blast (Tropical Lime).
Where can I buy Baja Blast?
It is currently only available in select grocery stores and retailers, but is expected to roll out to other stores throughout 2022.
“Originally conceived as a blender for alcoholic spirits when MTN DEW was founded more than 80 years ago, the brand is returning to its roots with one of the first alcoholic versions of a large soft drink,” the company said in a press release.
