ESPN NFL senior insider Adam Schefter tweeted on January 29, 2022: “Tom Brady is retiring after 22 extraordinary seasons, multiple sources to @JeffDarlington and I know.”

However, Tom Brady Sr. quickly debunked Adam’s report and denied the rumors of his retirement.

It wasn’t until February 1, 2022, that the original NFL star announced his retirement in a touching Instagram post.

“I’ve always believed that the sport of football is an ‘all in’ proposition – without a 100% commitment to being competitive you won’t succeed, and success is what I love so much about our game. me,” Brady wrote in an Instagram post at the time.

“Having a physical, mental and emotional challenge EVERY day has allowed me to reach my highest potential. And I’ve been trying my best for the past 22 years. There are no shortcuts. lead to success on the court or in life.

“This has been very difficult for me to write, but here it is: I will not make that competitive commitment again,” he continued.

However, on March 13, Brady revealed that he will be competing in the 2022 season and has not retired.

“Over the past two months, I have realized that my position is still on the field, not in the stands,” he wrote. “That time will come. But not now. I love my teammates, and I love my family who always support me.”

Brady revealed that he’ll be back for his 23rd season in Tampa in 2022. “LFG in business.” he concluded.
