Who is Thomas Caldwell?

Thomas Caldwell is said to be the leader of the Oath Keepers.

The 65-year-old Clarke County resident is a retired U.S. Navy veteran from Virginia.

He was named in a criminal complaint as having participated in the Capitol riots by President Donald Trump supporters.

At the end of January, Caldwell was charged along with two other alleged Swearers, 38-year-old Jessica Watkins and Donovan Ray Crowl, both of Ohio.

Caldwell, Watkins and Crowl are accused of plotting to “forcibly enter the United States Capitol on January 6, 2021,” prosecutors revealed.

Who are the oath keepers?

“If you think you have a problem with the Oath-Keepers, what you really have a problem with is the United States Constitution.”

The group believes that a violent civil war in the US is imminent and that tough defense of Donald Trump is the solution to get the country on the right track.

“Our POTUS will not go down without a war”, read a recent Oath-Keeper email explosion.

“He WILL NOT concede a goal. This election was stolen from We The People. We will win but we need your help! Otherwise we will lose our democracy.”

Who is the leader of the Oath Keepers?

Caldwell has been named the group’s leader, although Oath Keepers members Jessica Watkins, 38, of Champaign County, Ohio, and Donovan Ray Crowl, also of Ohio, have also been charged.

Caldwell, Watkins and Crowl were charged with several counts including conspiracy against the United States and conspiracy to prevent the government from carrying out its duties.

Investigators said Caldwell used Facebook to communicate with other members of the Oath-Keepers and help arrange hotels for their stay in Washington, D.C.

Prosecutors allege Caldwell helped organize a group of at least eight people who were seen “aggressively approaching the entrance to the Capitol,” according to documents obtained by the court. Washington Post.
