Cæcilia was born on April 16, 1953 and is also a Danish director and actress.

Regarding Lars, Zentropa Entertainment stated on Monday, August 8th: “In agreement with Lars von Trier, we would like to inform you that Lars was diagnosed with Parkinson’s just before the summer holidays.

“In order to avoid speculation about his health in the run-up to the premiere, Zentropa has sent this short statement to the Danish press.

“Lars is in good spirits and being treated for his symptoms and work to complete The Kingdom Exodus is proceeding as planned.”

They further shared about his health diagnosis: “Due to the illness, Lars will only participate in interviews to a very limited extent.

“Thank you for your understanding on this matter. There are no further comments.”
