According to reports from The Athletic, Clevinger is under investigation after allegations were made by his partner Olivia Finestead.
According to the report, she alleges that violence and abuse occurred last summer when Clevinger was a member of the San Diego Padres.
Finestead, 24, made her allegations public via her Instagram page early Tuesday.
She wrote: “I hope the @MLB is doing what they’re supposed to be doing and putting him in the therapy needed, maybe even a little suspension (sic) so he can take some time off to really think about why he’s having his kids.” and abused their mothers.”

The couple have a 10-month-old daughter.
Finestead alleges “physical, verbal and emotional abuse,” including an incident in which she was “choked” by Clevinger last June.
She also claims Clevinger threw an iPad at her when she was pregnant.
In a statement to the Athletic, the White Sox confirmed they were unaware of the allegations when Clevinger joined the team.
The statement said, “Major League Baseball and the Chicago White Sox take all allegations very seriously, and the White Sox fully support the joint policies shared by the MLB and MLBPA on domestic violence, sexual assault and child abuse.
“MLB launched an investigation after learning of these allegations.
“The White Sox were unaware of the allegations or the investigation at the time of his signing.
“The White Sox will remain silent until the MLB investigation process is complete.”
According to the report, a statement from the Padres continued: “[We are] Are aware of MLB’s investigation and fully support their efforts under the joint policy on domestic violence, sexual assault and child abuse.
“Due to the ongoing investigation, we are currently unable to comment further.”
Clevinger’s agent Seth Levinson made a statement to The Athletic.
Levinson said, “We must protect our client fairly and thoroughly while respecting the White Sox and the MLB. We need time before we react.”
Clevinger played 23 games in MLB last season and missed time while recovering from Tommy John’s surgery.
