Although there is no actual “Station 19,” the exterior of the fire station in the show is from an actual Seattle fire station called Station 20, located in the Queen Anne neighborhood.

The number 19 comes from Stacy McKee, the creator of the series, who chose it because it’s one of her favorite numbers.

Season 5 of Ward 19 aired September 30, 2021 with a Crossover event between them and Grey’s Anatomy.

The show can be watched live on ABC on Thursday at 8 p.m. EST.

Station 19 went on a brief winter break in December 2021 but returned along with Grey’s on February 24, 2022.

In January 2022, showrunners for both Grey’s Anatomy and Station 19 announced that they had both been renewed for one more season.

Station 19 is greenlit for a sixth season, while Gray’s will return for a historic 19th season.
