There, they discovered that the bones came from someone with Middle Eastern ancestry, which ties into several theories about the island’s treasures linked to the Knights Templar. Theorized that after fighting the Crusades (which took place over a large area of the Middle East), the Templars fled at sea and buried their treasure on Oak Island to conceal it. from their enemies.
Like most major installments in the series, the bone fragment doesn’t give any indication of where the treasure might be. However, the fact that it came from the Middle East is certainly a hopeful sign that there is something lurking on the island itself.
