When will Top Gun: Maverick be out?

Top Gun: Maverick is slated to hit theaters Memorial Day weekend, May 27, 2022.

The film was first seen by the public during CinemaCon, held April 25-28.

Variety reports that the film has already garnered rave reviews ahead of its big theatrical release in late May.

The outlet reports that journalists called the film “the perfect blockbuster” and “great in every way imaginable” upon its initial release.

The first Top Gun film was released over 30 years ago in 1986.

At the release of Top Gun: Maverick CinemaCon, a video was shared by Cruise.

The actor told the audience, “Please have fun and, hey, let’s try to have a great summer!”

Cruise returns for Top Gun: Maverick to continue his role as Lt. Repeating Pete “Maverick” Mitchell.

Some of the other stars who will appear in the film include Val Kilmer, Jennifer Connelly, Miles Teller, Jon Hamm and Monica Barbaro.

Ed Harris will also join the star-studded cast of Top Gun: Maverick.

Jay Ellis from Issa Rae’s HBO series Insecure will also star in the film.

Top Gun: Maverick has a running time of two hours and eleven minutes.

Paramount Pictures released the trailer for the film on December 16, 2019 on YouTube.

The new film will see Maverick face an uncertain future as he “confronts the ghosts of his past.”

Did Lady Gaga write a song for the film?

On April 27, singer and actress Lady Gaga announced that she wrote the theme song for the film.

The song is called Hold My Hand and will be included in Top Gun: Maverick.

She took to Instagram on Wednesday to discuss the new single.

“When I wrote this song for Top Gun: Maverick, I didn’t even realize how multi-layered it cuts across the heart of the film, my own psyche, and the nature of the world we live in.

“I’ve worked on it for years, perfecting it and trying to make it ours.

Later in the post, she added, “This song is a love letter to the world during and after a very tough time.
