Building on the success of previous documentary releases Stay sweet: pray and obey, this next Netflix cultural documentary promises to be just as captivating. But this time the topic will hit home much closer than Web of Make Believe dives headlong into the unsettling discord of the World Wide Web, something almost everyone uses every day.

From the perils of SWATTing to the rise of a dangerous era of misinformation and virtual blackmail, this docuseries examines some of the darkest crimes and criminals to emerge from the internet. As an anthology series, each episode of this six-episode show focuses on a different crime.
