The couple confirmed via a YouTube video posted March 27 that they had officially selected an egg donor for the process.

Dawson and Adams share a home in Parker, Colorado, and though they share a number of pets, the couple is poised to have a child of their own.

On a January 2022 episode of Adams’ podcast The Sip, he spoke with co-host Lizze Gordon about her experiences with the surrogacy process:

“We finally looked around, we started the process of finding out, and even with a surrogacy agency, the waiting list is 18 to 36 months if you start today,” Adams said.

“And that’s not the only stop. Then you also have to have a fertility clinic – that’s where you find the egg – and then you also have to find surrogacy, then you have all the legal work.”

Assuming the donor has now been chosen and the process goes smoothly, the couple could welcome their son or daughter by the end of this year.
