When is Kenan & Kel seasons 1 and 2 coming to Netflix?

Kenan & Kel began as a spin-off of Nickelodeon’s sketch show, All that. That became clear early on in their performances All that that Kenan Thompson and Kel Mitchell had something special and were clear fan favorites. So they got their own show in 1996 and now after all these years it’s finally coming to Netflix.

But not how All that, Kenan & Kel was not a sketch show. It was a sitcom. Set in Chicago, it followed Kenan Rockmore and Kel Kimble, a couple of high school kids who get into all sorts of shenanigans.

Each episode usually had to do with Kenan trying to find ways to get rich quick or finding ways to get out of trouble with his elders. Kel usually messed up those plans by being his usual goofy self.

No matter what happened in the episode, it began and ended with Kenan and Kel interacting with the studio audience in person.

In the beginning, Kenan would always know what was going to happen in the episode and refuse to tell Kel about it. At the end of the show, Kenan would often hatch a plan and walk offstage while Kel sighed and said his catchphrase, “Aww, here you go!” This catchphrase was also the name of Coolio’s opening theme song.

Kel was also known for his adoration of orange soda. Whenever he saw it, he declared his love and devotion to his favorite drink. It was a running gag for all four seasons.

You can expect season 1 and season 2 of Kenan & Kel to hit Netflix on Tuesday, June 21 at 12:01 p.m. PT/3:01 p.m. ET. Season 1 consists of 14 episodes, Season 2 consists of 13 episodes. And since all episodes are around 25 minutes long, it makes binge-watching super easy.

With those first two seasons coming to Netflix, hopefully we’ll get seasons 3 and 4 in the near future as well.
