Meri and Kody have not been together since 2014 as their 30-year marriage fell apart since he married Robyn.
In April 2021, Meri demanded an “apology” and “accountability” when Kody snubbed his wives about his “darling” Robyn last month.
On the show, they went to couples counseling to try to fix their relationship.
“He and I’s relationship is over, it’s dead, it’s over,” Meri revealed.
Kody claimed Meri tricked him into marrying her.
“I feel like I was fooled into a relationship that was very different from what I expected,” he said.

“Meri and I had a fast-paced relationship with a lot of expectations and a lot of non-communication.”
“I didn’t know who I was going to marry. As things developed, I became troubled and embittered by the situation I found myself in,” he concluded.
On January 10, 2023, Meri Brown took to social media to post an official joint statement about their divorce on Instagram, in which she said, “In light of a recent unauthorized press release, we feel compelled to face our own truth in our own way share, and in our own timing.
“After more than a decade of working on our relationship in our unique ways, we have made the decision to permanently end our marriage.”
The statement continued, “During this process we commit to kindness and respect towards one another and all members of our family, and we also commit to the continued healing of all relationships within the family so that we can move forward with forgiveness, grace and love.”
The statement ended with, “With kindness, Meri and Kody.”
Kody and Meri share a son Leon, who came out as a transgender man in 2022.
Leon, formerly known as Mariah, was the openly gay daughter of the family.
On social media, Leon champions social issues such as Black Lives Matter and LGBTQ+ equality.
He also seems to be interested in yoga and nature as there are several pictures and videos related to the topics on his account.

Meri admitted their marriage was “pretty rocky for a while” when Kody mentioned he “regretted” their relationship.
She has considered leaving the family on the TLC series several times, but has remained a “spiritual wife” of Kody.
In July 2021, she opened up about the struggles she’s been going through on Instagram.
“Ever have those days, those weeks, those months where things just keep HAPPENING? No matter how hard you work, how hard you push, how hard you try, something else comes up. Sometimes it’s just life,” she captioned a picture on Instagram.
“Sometimes you just have to learn something. Sometimes you are completely manipulated and you know it. Don’t worry.
Though she didn’t reveal the struggles she’s going through, she did share words of encouragement and a message on how to find her way.
“I am BRAVE, I am STRONG, I am BRAVE and I WILL do this! I will find MY tribe, the people who will STAND with me and not push against me. THOSE are the people that matter,” she said.
