Wheel of Fortune host Pat Sajak taunts players for “stupid answers” as a pair fails to solve the puzzle in the bonus round

PAT Sajak has once again shadowed contestants on the popular game show, this time against a losing pair.

The Wheel of Fortune host openly mocked a married couple after they solved the prize puzzle.

Friday marked the end of Sweethearts Week on Wheel and Jennifer and Jay from Clinton, Arkansas were the last big winners.

In the last round of awards, the couple, who have been married for 27 years, chose the category: “What are you doing?”

After revealing the R, S, T, L, N, and E given in the show, they chose additional letters G, D, P, and A.

But that wasn’t much help, and they were left with a plaque that read:

“_ _ _ _ S _ NG _N _ _ _ _ R _”

Realizing the situation was looking grim, Pat asked sarcastically, “Well, do you just want to talk about something for a while, or do you want to try to resolve it?”

Clearly, the winners wanted to go all out, and the 76-year-old host was trying to be a cheerleader.

“It looks scary, that’s for sure, but you know, stranger things have been happening.”

With nothing to lose, Jay and Jennifer voiced whatever came to their minds.

“Dance in my yard?” guessed Jay.

“Cruising in my cars?” shot Jennifer out.

Finally, Jay combined the two in a desperate attempt as time ran out: “Dancing in my cars?”

WORKING OUT

When the buzzer rang, Pat started laughing at her and making fun of her attempt.

“They don’t just say stupid answers, they say them together,” he said.

The correct answer was: “Focus on my work.”

“You could have stood here for several months trying to get that,” Pat slammed. “You just didn’t have the letters.”

The couple lost a Mercedes Benz but took home $20,310 in cash and prizes.

HOW RUDE!

Sweetheart’s Week was not kind to the longtime host as Pat was called out earlier in the week for being “rude” to several of the couples.

On Wednesday’s show, Mark and Debi – married college sweethearts of 42 years – put their heads together and ended up with the most money, which sent them into the bonus round.

Before spinning the wheel, they kissed on the lips.

Pat began, “I have a personal question for you…” then he noticed her hickey.

“As soon as you’re done,” he added uncomfortably.

The question eventually became, “How is Dorothy?” when Pat asked about Debi’s mother.

Even though the pecking couple didn’t get the bonus puzzle at the end, they still won $27,000 and fans loved their energy.

Pat has been on Wheel of Fortune alongside co-host Vanna White for four decades.
