The winner of Thursday’s game, Fred Jackson, had already banked $75,800 on his first appearance on the show and was hoping to add to that title with another win in the bonus round.
As the last category, Fred chose Phrase. After the R,S,T,L,N,E provided by the show, he added an M,F,C and O.
That left a puzzle that said: T_ME FOR _N _ _ _ R _ _ E


Fred looked puzzled and let out an audible sigh.
“I think he thought it might be something else” Beat told the audience.
Fred agreed, “Yes.”

“Okay, now you just have to switch gears and think about it. It’s a cliché,” said the 76-year-old. “You have ten seconds. Much luck.”
However, Fred could only summon fake arrows onto the wall.
“Time for a shortcut,” he suspects. “Time for a ride.”
Knowing that time was not his friend in this case, Fred prayed, “Time for a miracle.”
All were wrong. And Fred reveled in his defeat.
“Yes, I need a miracle.”
In the end, the correct answer was: “Time for an upgrade.”
Pat tried to comfort the unsuccessful player by asking, “So what were you thinking when you watched it?”
Fred replied, “Time for an encore. But that is not all.”
“I know,” Pat sympathized. “You’ve got something on your mind and it’s hard to shake it.”
SHUT DOWN
Then Pat revealed how much Fred lost: $45,000. He still walked away with a profit of $21,950 but was obviously finished.
However, no one expected him to become violent.
As Pat wrapped things up, he chided Fred, “You better get out of here without fighting.”
Fred seemed to accept the challenge and raised his clenched fists as if to punch Pat.
The game show legend even raised his hands to ward off a punch.
Then the two started laughing and Fred finally smiled – he even blew Vanna White a kiss.
REMATCH
Turns out Pat had done it argued with Frank in the past.
