Wheel of Fortune contestant claps back at Pat Sajak for final riddle as fans urge show to give him ‘another chance’

A WHEEL of Fortune contestant accidentally sparked fan outrage over the accuracy of its categories.

Ben called out Pat Sajak after he missed a “fun and games” themed puzzle, and when the show joked that he “had a point,” people argued he was onto something.

On the January 26 episode “Wheel of Fortune,” charismatic Ben from California walked into the special bonus round and little did he know, “A quick jog.”

He told Pat, 76, that he didn’t consider the exercise-based puzzle to fit the category.

“Well, look, I don’t think jogging is ‘fun and games,'” Ben said.

To which Pat replied, “That wasn’t bad!” meaning he was joking.

The game show’s official Instagram account uploaded a video of the moment and wrote in the caption, “He’s right,” with a laughing emoji.

‘HE’S RIGHT!’

The fans didn’t laugh, however, and called out the show as well.

Dozens agreed that the category made Ben’s chances of winning more money unfairly difficult, and took the opportunity to complain that the category and puzzle didn’t really go together.

One fan commented: “Finally! A contestant finally talks about the out-of-category answers! The kid was great!”

“Fact. Category is wrong…” wrote another.

“He was so entertaining! And he got ripped off. I agree with him there. asked a third user.

“He’s right!! Who comes up with these riddles?!?!?” a fourth wondered.

“I mean… he’s not wrong. Strange puzzle for this category,” wrote a fifth, while a sixth even begged, “This puzzle made no sense, deserves a repeat.”

“He’s right, the clue should be ‘ACTIVITY’ rather than ‘FUN & PLAY,'” suggested another.

Ben hilariously opened the show by asking Pat, “What’s Shakin’ Bacon,” so fans might as well just enjoy his presence on stage – if not the mediocre mystery.

When the show jokingly re-shared the moment, it backfired with one fan writing,
