WhatsApp is about to copy Facebook’s HUGE feature – how to set it up

WhatSAPP looks set to borrow a key Facebook feature: Cover Photos.

It’s designed to make profiles look more interesting – and it’s coming soon.

WhatsApp started testing the first version of this feature on the beta version of the app.

It was discovered by WhatsApp executives at WABetaInfowho regularly discover new and upcoming features.

The cover art is an iconic part of Facebookgives you a wider image area than standard profile images.

It is also borrowed by other social networks, including Twitter.

Now it’s finally coming to WhatsApp, though the exact release date remains to be seen.

WABetaInfo said: “WhatsApp is working on a new feature that allows you to set a cover photo for your profile.

This feature is currently in beta for Business accounts only.

But it is possible that this feature can also be rolled out to general users.

Facebook and WhatsApp are both owned by MetaSo it’s no surprise that the pair are sharing features.

Sadly, there’s no confirmation on exactly when this feature will launch.

And it’s entirely possible that WhatsApp could drop the change before it launches.

How to download WhatsApp beta

To download WhatsApp beta for your smartphone, you need to go to Google Play on your Android and search for WhatsApp.

Scroll down the page until you see “Become a Beta Tester”.

Click the “I Join” button and then click “Join” to confirm.

Now all you have to do is wait for the app’s beta update.

Joining WhatsApp beta on iPhone is more difficult and storage is limited.
