What’s up with Captain Lee Rosbach?
Captain Lee acknowledged that both the grief at the loss of his son and physical pain and complications from an injury made it impossible for him to continue on the Bravo show.
The captain, 73, faced the death of his son in July 2019.
His son Joshua Rosbach was 42 years old when he overdosed after more than 20 years of drug addiction.
The captain then suffered a physical injury which left him with nervous problems; often half his body suddenly goes numb.

This nerve problem causes mobility problems for the captain, which is why he cannot stay on board.
What did Captain Lee say after leaving the show?
Captain Lee, who became known for his no-nonsense leadership during his decade at Bravo, gave an interview to the Los Angeles Times.
In an interview he said of his grief: “Some days are better than others. Other days I just fuck a train wreck. I’m sitting at a traffic light, something triggers it and I just fall apart like a cheap suit.”

However, he has shared his disdain for retirement.
According to co-star Kate Chastain, Captain Lee is almost completely healed.
He also just attended Bravocon in New York City in December, suggesting he may have some sort of role in the future of the franchise.
