Scary season is here, and if you’re like me you can’t get enough of the horror genre. Netflix has plenty of movies to choose from this Halloween season, but if you’re looking for the scariest movie on Netflix that’ll give chills and make the hairs stand on end, you’re in luck.

It’s always hard to call a movie the scariest of anything, as every horror movie showcases different types of horrors, be it supernatural, slasher, or a combination of both. It is also a subjective issue as we are all afraid of different things.

Netflix brought us some really good horror movies this year, but there’s one movie that stands out above all and is, in my opinion, the scariest Netflix has to offer this year.

The movie that stands out to me as the scariest movie on Netflix is ​​the Stephen King remake IT. It was a close decision between the and the incantation 2, but IT not only offers the supernatural side of things, but presents the evil spirit as Pennywise himself.

As a kid, the scariest movie that scared me the most was the original IT Miniseries released in 1990. Pennywise has stuck with me as an icon of the horror genre through the years.

Another standout feature of this film is the cast of these characters, especially the children. We see some familiar faces in this film like Finn Wolfhard, Sophia Lillis and Wyatt Oleff to name a few. The connection and chemistry between the characters shines on screen as you instantly bond with each and every one of them as they face the horrors of Derry.

While there are a lot of good horror movies on Netflix, I believe so IT is the scariest of them all and it still gives me goosebumps every time I look at it and I’m sure you will too.
