What was Bill Paxton’s cause of death?
Movie star Bill Paxton died on February 25, 2017.
His cause of death was a stroke, which reportedly occurred 11 days after his surgery to replace a heart valve and repair a damaged aorta.
As a result of his death, his family filed a lawsuit against Dr. Ali Khoynezhad of Cedars-Sinai Medical Center after reportedly using a risky and unconventional surgical approach that he lacked the experience to perform.

The lawsuit also alleged that the misguided treatment resulted in Bill Paxton suffering excessive bleeding, cardiogenic shock and an impaired coronary artery.
However, it has been reported that the lawsuit, which was filed more than four years ago, has been withdrawn.
Attorneys for Bill Paxton’s family said: “The matter has been resolved to the mutual satisfaction of the parties.”
The terms of the agreement have been kept confidential.
