After the defense rested on Tuesday, December 7, 2021, closing arguments in the trial were scheduled for Wednesday, December 8. After the closing arguments, the jury deliberated.

Prosecutors dropped their case on Monday, December 6, before Duggar’s attorneys took the stand.

Forensic computer analyst Michele Bush told Duggar’s lawyers the computer used to download child pornography could have been accessed remotely.

The defense argued that someone else may have downloaded the child pornography onto the computer at Duggar’s work station or placed it where police found the files.

They added that no child pornography was found on Duggar’s PC or phone.

Bush told prosecutors that her experience as a forensic computer analyst included her time as a college student, according to KNWA-TV.

After telling the defense that she had testified in court several times as an expert witness, upon subsequent questioning, Bush admitted that the Duggar case could “possibly” be her first case in federal criminal court.

On Monday, December 6th, a friend of the Duggars family turned against Josh Duggar.

Duggar’s ex-girlfriend’s mother, Bobye Holt, has made claims about previous allegations that he once molested several young girls, according to a local reporter for The Sun.
