What is Home for Christmas about?

Home for Christmas is Netflix’s first original Norwegian series. This romantic comedy premiered its first season in 2019, with a second season opening in 2020.

Johanne (Ida Elise Broch) is a nurse living in Oslo, Norway, and at her family’s annual Advent dinner, she feels the pressure of them having a significant other in their lives. She lied and told them she had a boyfriend. She had promised she’d bring him home for Christmas dinner, which only gave her 24 days to get a worthy boyfriend to bring home to the family.

Then she went to great lengths to find someone to bring back to the family gathering. She tries speed dating and internet dating, and any other ways she can think of to find the right guy. Did she find him? You will have to see for yourself and see.

This is a fun romantic comedy for the holiday season. The atmosphere is very lively, the Danish and Norwegian concept of coziness and comfort.
