What is device time management on TikTok?

TikTok’s Device Time Management setting allows users to control the amount of time they spend on the platform each day.

This new feature, similar to original video sponsored by TikTok remind users to pause scrolling, for the sake of reducing time user spent staring at their screens.

Based on NMETiktok users spend up to 89 minutes a day watch video on the platform.

How do you enable TikTok’s Device Time Management setting?

  1. Click your profile icon.
  2. Click on the drop-down menu icon in the top right corner of the screen, which will then take you to “Settings and Privacy. “
  3. Next, scroll down until you find the tile icon labeled “Digital Wellbeing” and select this option.
  4. In “Digital Wellbeing“, you can enable the Manage Screen Time setting according to your preferred time limit.

How does device time management work?

Tiktok has implemented a feature that will prompt users for a passcode when they have reached the desired time limit.

The Device Screen Time Management setting was created to help more attentive users their time while using the platform.

At any point, if you decide you don’t want to use this setting anymore, Tiktok can deactivate this setting by entering a passcode and thus disable the Screen Time Management setting.
