Anyway, season four introduced us to the new character Argyle. He’s Jonathan’s best friend in California who is primarily a stoner but is very funny and has provided many comedic moments this season. The Cali teenager also works at Surfer Boy Pizza. And he is very passionate about his job!

You can’t talk to him, it’s just a recording. But it’s still a really nice way to be interactive with fans! I’m sure the show knew eagle-eyed fans would recognize the number and try to call her. So they made it a little fun experience!

So when you get to the pizzeria at the other end, Argyle will greet you but then has to put you on hold. But you still hear everything he has to say. And it’s a very interesting assignment. Here’s the roughly minute-long message:

I don’t know, don’t ask me man. That’s what they said. And then we gotta get the red sauce, just to the brim on the crust. So don’t go over there. And next, and this is really important, they want four chops of white mozzarella, three habaneros, nice and bright orange, two slices of green peppers, gotta make the habanero sing, man. And then one, just a piece of blue cheese on top. Now I know it’s weird. Blue cheese is damn close to mold. But hey, have you tried it? Try before you deny, brother. Ok that’s all I have. Did you get the order? Yes cool.

After that the call ends. So it’s a short and sweet way for fans of the sci-fi show to feel like a part of it in a small way.
