What happened to Troy (Peyton Wich) from Stranger Things?

We are only a few days away from the premiere of stranger things Season 4, and it’s not surprising that the sci-fi series is back in the Netflix Top 10 as fans are re-watching some of the episodes to remember the key moments. It’s been almost three years since we got a new season of the show, so we don’t blame even the biggest fans if they have to go back to remember some scenes.

stranger things Season 1 came out back in July 2016 and so much has happened on the show since then! If you’re flipping through episodes of Season 1 or doing a full replay and are wondering what happened to any of the characters, we’re here to let you know.

In Season 1, the character Troy (Peyton Wich) is introduced as a bully towards Mike (Finn Wolfhard) and his friends. Throughout the season, he and another character named James (Cade Jones) attack the group and even mock Will’s (Noah Schnapp) disappearance. In a particular scene in Episode 6, Eleven saves Mike and Dustin (Gate Matarazzo) from the thugs at the quarry. It is great! This is the moment we hear Dustin’s iconic line, “She’s our friend and she’s crazy!”

So what happened to Troy? He is mentioned in the stranger things Premiere of the second season, “MADMAX”, but never seen again. We’re not sure why his character wasn’t written into other scenes, but it could have to do with all the other things going on in the show. At first, bullies are the biggest threat to the Hawkins friends group, but that quickly changes as they discover the Upside Down, Demogorgons, the Mind Flayer, and all the other monsters.

Is Troy (Peyton Wich) in Stranger Things Season 4?

Netflix hasn’t yet confirmed whether or not Wich will reprise his role stranger things Season 4, but we doubt it. This season will be the biggest yet, with Hopper (David Harbour) in Russia, Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) trying to regain her powers, and the introduction of new villain Vecna. I don’t think the season even has time for bullies!

However, if you are interested in the character Troy and his backstory, we have good news. The graphic novel 2020 Stranger Things: The Bully focuses on Troy and James and what they’re up to after Season 1.
