THE excitement is building ahead of the 2022 Masters in Augusta.

There was already drama without a ball being hit as three-time winner Phil Mickelson missed his first Masters since 1994.

In its 86th edition, the sumptuous Augusta National will, as usual, host a week of sporting drama.

When is The Masters 2022?

  • The first swing of this year’s Masters will take place on Thursday, April 7th
  • Expect the first group to tee off at 8am ET which is 1pm BST.
  • Then follows four days of top-class action from Georgia.
  • After two rounds, the field is halved.
  • The remaining players will play the last two rounds on Saturday and Sunday.

What TV channel and live stream can I watch it on?

Coverage of the 2022 Masters will be shared by CBS and ESPN in the US.

ESPN will cover the first two days of the tournament before CBS will show the final two rounds.

Streaming coverage will be available to US viewers on the official Masters website throughout the tournament.

In the UK, Sky Sports shows golf live every four days.

You can stream by downloading the Sky Go app or subscribing to NOW TV.

Busy weekend schedule

Round one tee times will be released on the evening of Wednesday April 6th.

Leading up to the event there is also the annual Par 3 tournament to enjoy, where old and new players and their families compete on a mini course.

And online viewers can check out a series of special streams throughout the week via the official Masters website.

These include Amen Corner, Featured Groups and Holes 4,5,6.
