If winning the Vince Lombardi Trophy wasn’t enough, the Rams . coach Shaun McVay or Bengals leader Zac Taylor can expect a winning dip after Sunday’s game.

Gatorade will be ready and prepared for the final match, but what color will it be?

What color will Gatorade be at Super Bowl 2022?

Los Angeles Rams Coach Sean McVay was showered with a blue Gatorade at the end of the game.

The Rams defeated the Bengal on February 13, 2022. They won 23 to 20.

It is often speculated that teams have a say in color, although reports in The Athletic other suggestions.

Their internals revealed that the Gatorade used in the victory bath was chosen by the company itself.

But there are usually ‘two to three’ choices for the player to pick whatever they love in the moment.

The source continued: “No one can really tell you what it will taste like.

“The best guess they can give you is two or three choices.”

Why do players spray it?

Some traditions spiral out of nowhere and that seems to be the case for Super Bowl Gatorade shower.

This practice can be traced back to 1984, when Bears players happily threw a barrel of Gatorade in the face of then-coach Mike Ditka.

Later that year, Giants linebacker Harry Carson and defensive player Jim Burt combined to bring Bill Parcells to fame. NFL soaking wet.

And so a Super Bowl tradition was born, with the majority of teams since celebrating their title victories with ceremony.

It spilled over into other sports, too, with baseball stars getting a Gatorade bath to jog home.

Super Bowl Gatorade Color History

There doesn’t seem to be a lot of pattern here in terms of colors, with only two teams in the past decade that haven’t let their coaches soak.

Why Raven and Pats decided to spare their coach is a mystery, but it’s unlikely McVay or Taylor will stay dry this year because of the length of time both franchises have aspired to succeed.

This week’s Super Bowl saw the Bengal team win their first championship, ahead of 2019 runner-up LA Rams.
